About Therapy and Coaching

Imagine six months from now…

You’re feeling happy, peaceful, and more confident than you have in years.

There’s a sense of freedom – from worry, self-doubts, and others’ expectations that you didn’t think were possible. You are now finely tuned to your own inner voice, heart, and values. You trust your Self more now.

Goals, career aspirations, and dreams that felt elusive now feel attainable. The pride you feel in already accomplishing some, and the excitement that you can have the life you imagine for yourself is increasing each day.

Now

Imagine being in the same place in six months. Little to nothing has changed.

How does that feel?

The time is now to courageously choose change.

How Does it Work?

We will start with a conversation. When you call, we will talk for 15-20 minutes to see if we are a good fit. If we are, we will schedule an initial meeting.

We will also determine what would be most helpful for you at this time – coaching or therapy.

At times, it is most effective to start with therapy if healing is needed, and then transition into life or executive coaching to receive the greatest benefit. Other times, we will start directly with coaching.

Our meetings will be virtual unless the sessions are in Nevada. Then there is the choice of working together in person in nature, or virtually.

In Our Sessions Together

I will listen carefully, ask powerful questions, and offer feedback – sharing with you what I see and hear you do well, and what is limiting you and contributing to your present situation.

We will identify and leverage your strengths and develop other skills to help you better deal with both current and future challenges. You will feel more empowered as you navigate your relationships, career, and life.

Often, at the end of sessions, I will give a brief homework assignment or a fun “experiment” of sorts to apply what we’ve talked about, so our time in between sessions is also beneficial.

After Therapy or Coaching…

Your relationship with your Self – your feelings, mind, body, and spirit – will be stronger as you’ve learned to tune in and listen carefully with compassion and curiosity, and let this increased awareness guide you.

Your relationships feel nourishing and positive.

And life and work feel so different and more enjoyable. You have trust and confidence in yourself and your decisions – and feel more resilient in the face of challenges.

You’ve become the best version of You!

My Background

I love the work that I do. One of the best decisions I made was to make a career change early on to become a psychologist. Later, I developed additional skills and became a life and executive coach.

As a licensed psychologist in NV, NY, CT, and RI and a coach and speaker nationally, I’ve been doing this work for over 20 years.

My educational and professional experience spans the field of business, psychology, health, and coaching, which is why I find doing both therapy and coaching very fulfilling.

Clients come from many professions, including business, law, hospitality, medicine, education, the arts, and biotech. Over the years, I’ve seen hundreds of people like you and worked with small to Fortune 500 companies.

My professional business experiences have been diverse, with a specialization in leadership development, workplace boundaries, employee well-being, and organizational performance.

I was a Senior Consultant and Executive Coach for a global organizational development and coaching firm. This involved international work coaching executives in Latin America, focusing on leadership and team development.

As Co-Chair of the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program, I consulted with company executives and employees related to employee engagement, communication, well-being, and work-life balance. This initiative was part of the American Psychological Association.

I also enjoy teaching and served as an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven, Department of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

When I’m not working…

You’ll likely find me outdoors – hiking, swimming, exploring, or spending time with friends, family, and my sweet dog, Bud.

I also love to dance, travel, listen to live music and read a good book. One of my favorites is From Stressed To Centered: A Practical Guide to a Healthier & Happier You, by Drs. Dana Gionta and Dan Guerra. ????
